Hermanus Wine and Food Festival is on 6th, 7th and 8th August 2016 at Curro school
Every year in August, the Wine region of Hermanus and Walker Bay celebrates our many diverse Wines, Wineries and Wine Makers by staging the annual Hermanus Wine and Food Festival. This years event (now in it's 19th year) will be held on 6th, 7th and 8th August 2016 to show-case local producers from Elgin to Elim, with over 250 wines from over 80 wine estates on offer.
The Hermanus Wine and Food Festival is always voted / nominated as being 1 of the top 10 Best Wine Shows in South Africa. Each year the event grows bigger and better and attracts at least 5,000 people throughout the weekend. Entry to the venue is R50 per person and to enter the Wine Arena is R100 per person, allowing you to sample as many wines as you desire. Children have their own designated play area. The Hermanus Wine & Food Festival not only presents so many excellent wines, but also has a large gourmet Food Marquee with a range of delicious food and deli products, while many local restaurants serve up a vast variety of yummy delights - with loads of tables and chairs so you can spread out too - plus - a kids area, beer bar, live music by Marimba band and Piano Ben and many other attractions........... The festival organisers have also arranged for a local transfer service in luxury minibuses to transport visitors to and from the festival all weekend long, so that no-one has to drink'n'drive. The Hermanus Wine and Food Festival has all the above and located in the bigger NEW venue of CURRO school in Sandbaai, Hermanus - MAP BELOW - 3 days of indulgence offering a wide array of world-class premium wine and an assortment of fresh, local culinary creations.
The Wine Village is once again proud to present Hermanus Wine and Food Festival, one of South Africa’s Top 10 Wine Festivals. This is a celebration of 20 years of great wines of the Elgin to Elim area. A true country festival, you will experience an impressive line up of wines that have garnered awards from around the globe.
We have seen the Walker Bay region grow from just 6 producers in 1998 to over 80 producers in 2016, and still growing. We have sent wine to every continent on earth, even to Antarctica.
We offer more than 1600 labels of South African wines at cellar door prices.
The Hermanus Wine and Food Festival Head Office is at the Wine Village is a gateway for visitors into the award winning wines of the Overberg. The Overberg wine region produces some of the most sought after wines in the country and you are invited to browse through the wine show, appreciate, delight in and sense the fruit of the vines and discover your own favourites.
All the wines will be available for purchase at cellar door prices. This is a unique opportunity to extend your wine collection.

Sip and savour some of the most magnificent wines in South Africa in the Wine Marquee. Entrance is a mere R100 per person. This includes a large crystal bowl glass and informative booklet on all the producers.
